Definition of Domestic Violence Broadens

The Family Law Act 1975 has amended the definition of domestic violence to now include

  • ·         Emotional manipulation
  • ·         Stalking
  • ·         Damaging or destroying property
  • ·         Withholding money
  • ·         Preventing one from seeing family and friends
  • ·         Harming the family pet
